At first glance, this is your typical virgin meets rock star sex god. However, Charlie's career is not on the up and coming. It's failing, and failing fast. His band has fallen apart since his drummer went missing. His solo career is not going well. Then he meets Eve, and everything feels right again. So yeah, basically your typical virgin and rock god fall in love, but there's a twist. But you have to read it to find out what!
I liked the book overall, but the time jumps were confusing. The climax felt dragged out, because it was fairly easy to guess what happened (to an extent). But, the end was definitely unique! Eve is so sweet and I'm looking forward to seeing more of her in the future books in this series centering around her brothers.
It is kind of unbelievable that Charlie would be having threesomes and various other sexual exploits and then one day see this girl and think "Hey, I want to have a committed monogamous relationship with this girl." But, how mad would we be if after he met Eve he was still sleeping around while getting to her know her? Super mad. Everybody would be wielding their feminist pitchforks telling Eve she doesn't need any man, especially one that's had sex with basically everybody.
Anyways, back on track, you should read Brooklyn Rockstar if you love rockstars, sad, lost heroes, and heroines with overprotective brothers!
